Nigeria is a nation that ordinarily should be the pride of Africa.
However, the way the country has been administered over the years has
put it in an unenviable position in the committee of nations.
It is my humble opinion that the challenges confronting the Nigerian nation is deep-rooted in the lacuna that exists in the laws that bind us as a people. I do however agree that there is a need for us as a people to change our attitude to national issues and how we see Nigeria as an entity.
In the last quarter of 2011, I did a series on my Facebook timeline on what I consider would take us out of the valley and launch us into a place of pride.
As a medical doctor, I was trained to approach every complaint from the root; the pathological basis of the disease entity. When a patient complains of headache, you do not just prescribe an analgesic. Rather, you carry out a thorough physical examination and run series of investigations to get to the root cause of the headache.
So, when you eventually give a prescription, you are aiming at a wholesome cure and not just targeting a remote symptom.
Having taken time to study the Nigerian nation and its several years of unimpressive snail-motion, I came up with this work as my own contribution to the development of the Nigerian nation.
I do believe that if these prescriptions are implemented, Nigeria will become a place of pride in the committee of nations.
